The ultimate target of good education is to ensure a good job. This is instilled into us from the early stages of our lives. We know that without a good education it will be difficult, if not impossible, to move forward in life. Those responsible to guide and mentor us in all our formative years teach us to study hard and succeed in academics so that when we grow up we are able to land prestigious and well-paying jobs.

When Does The Job Hunt Begin?

What is the level of education that one needs to acquire before seeking a job? Should it be after graduating from high school or is a college degree essential before seeking employment?

Looking at some of the statistics that are pertinent to the issue, we find that less than 43 percent of students complete high school – out of which only about half enroll in college. This data pertains to the year 2003 and 2004 as reported by the National Center for Education.

Many Jobseekers Do Not Possess a College Degree

Considering the data above, it becomes apparent that a big portion of job hunters do not have a college degree. Therefore, the fact is that a good job can be had without a college degree.

When a candidate has the knowledge, skills and the right attitude and drive to excel, there is no dearth of opportunities to land good jobs.

What Is A Good Job?

Usually, the answer most people would give is that a good job is one that carries a fat salary and moves you high into the social bracket. However, this is not the right answer for describing a “good job”. In reality, a good job is one that you find pleasure and delight in going to each working day of your life.

Applying these standards, numerous jobseekers may be holding “good jobs”. The inevitable result is dissatisfied individuals who harbor a deep sense of disillusionment, even if they are able to get good salaries.

In reality, job satisfaction comes from doing a job that is in line with your passion in life, something you seriously believe in – and not the salary that it gets you. Therefore, the main criteria in selecting a job should be looking at what you enjoy doing and what you make in terms of money, rather than going for something that pays well and trying to force yourself into liking it.

The Advantage of College Education

The decision to go through college is a personal one – and honestly speaking, college education does open up avenues of high-end, knowledge-based employment, and is certainly desirable for anyone seeking to be intellectually empowered.

The real point here is that even without a college degree, there are plenty of jobs available that can allow a person to pursue a very fulfilling and satisfying career.

With so much competition and a plethora of jobs on the scene, it becomes very difficult to decide which way to go if you have not devoted time from your early years towards selecting the career you would like to pursue.

As outlined above, it is relatively easy for you to go about enrolling yourself in career training courses, for a wide variety of different career fields. There are also a number of benefits to doing so. Of course, the decision as to whether or not you want to use career training to your advantage is your decision to make, but if you are serious about changing jobs or changing careers, it is something that you should seriously consider. In all honesty, what do you have to lose by at least examining all of your options first?

Become a sperm donor. Believe it or not, you can actually make money doing what you love. Yes, It’s true, you could have been getting paid for all those years of boredom. You can also do what your man instincts want you to do…spread your seed to more people! Think of it as being with as many people as you want, with out all of them taking your money. Yeah sure, you’re not actually having sex with a woman…. but hey you’re getting paid! You could rake it roughly 5-7 thousand dollars a year for something that you have been doing for 7 years free of charge. That’s $49,000, that you could have had all along. Of course like all jobs, there are drawbacks. You need to be genetically fit in order for these sperm banks to want you. If you believe that you are smart, fit, and good looking this is probably for you. If you’re ugly and stupid… tough luck man, it’s probably better that your seed isn’t spread.

Become a bartender. If you want to meet girls and make decent coin, this is probably for you Joe College. Not only do you make good tips (in the right place), you always gain experience on Social Life 101 making drinks for good looking girls (or ugly ones). Some perks are you can sneak drinks on the job, get decent tips, and meet new and interesting people. The drawbacks of this job are if you aren’t in a good spot, you’ll make no money and serve drinks to losers, probably with mullets. Tip 1: Find a good spot, Tip 2: Get a job there, if you follow those two tips chances are you will make some money and get a couple phone numbers.

Become a lifeguard. As an experienced lifeguard for about 8 years, I can tell you, it’s pretty sweet. Most of the time I would hang around, doing nothing, eat French fries, and work on my tan. If you are in a good place, you will probably meet good looking girls who hang out in bikinis all day. Not bad right? You do not want to work in an apartment complex, and or a retirement community… unless you’re into that. You need a lifeguard certification for that, which is easy to get, go check out your local YMCA. The perks are good looking girls, decent hours, and a laid back atmosphere. The downsides are it may get boring, and the pay will suck.

If you are hanging out at school for the summer, be sure to check out all jobs on your campus. Find the most laid back easy going one of them all. I use to work at a student lab, and let me tell you, it was one of the best jobs I’ve ever had. The pay isn’t bad, for the work you will be doing. Chances are you will sit back on the internet listen to some tunes and finish some work. These are some of the best jobs I could think of.
